I'm a lifelong storyteller, published in a variety of media. As an Emmy- and Murrow Award-winning journalist, marketing professional, personal essayist and grant writer, I've worked in digital, print, radio, television and for nonprofit organizations. In addition to my other work, I'm currently focused on publishing a memoir.
In my marketing efforts, I often promote the accomplishments of colleges and universities, writing web content as well as articles for their student and alumni magazines. My creative nonfiction, including the essay "Everybody Smile!" which is published in The Best American Essays 2023," explores family dynamics, LGBTQ+ life, grief and aging, among other topics. As a full-time journalist, I focused on the arts, social justice, health/mental health and cultural trends.
